The highly anticipated third novel in the Searching For series from Jennifer Probst, “one of the most exciting breakout novelists” (USA Today), featuring a runaway bride and the man who wants to be more than just her best friend...

Genevieve MacKenzie has her life completely under control. About to wed the charming Chief doctor at the local hospital, she’s an up-and-coming surgeon with everything she could ever want. Until an escape through the church window on the day of her wedding sends her life into a tailspin...and flings her right into her best friend’s arms. When Wolfe catches his best friend falling out a window on her wedding day, he doesn’t ask questions. He whisks her away, determined to watch over her and discover the truth behind her desperate escape. But when his feelings turn more than platonic, he realizes he may risk his most important relationship in order to protect his damaged heart, and the woman he loves. Can Genevieve and Wolfe’s friendship turn into something deeper—or is it already too late for true love?

This was a sweet friend so to clovers story. We start out at Genevieve's wedding... A wedding that she's busy trying to convince herself is still golden, that her nerves are just cold feet.

However, she decides she just can't do it and ditches her groom by squeezing through a window...

...and plopping outside said window in a heap of tule and lace. Who other to witness the end result than her best guy friend, Wolfe?

The problem with ditching her own wedding? The groom was more than just her groom; he had the ability to destroy her livelihood and career, too.

I loved who Gen was with Wolfe. They both had their troubled pasts, and she recognized that his was dark. She didn't pry and when his story finally comes out, she listens and offers him what he needs.

Wolfe... Wolfe, Wolfe, Wolfe...

I loved him. He was this big bad tattooed guy who valued his friendships. He was honest but had some vices that he chose to try and keep hidden, because he didn't want to disappoint the ones he cared about. When he helped Gen escape, he did more than just drive the get-away vehicle: he kept her hidden and allowed her the appropriate time to recoup. And then there was his letting her in... Even when he did, he was fearful of losing their friendship and refused to let her see his dark sides. He wanted to keep Gen guarded...

I don't know exactly what it was, maybe the fact he cared so deeply for those who mattered to him, but he made it to my top-heroes list, for sure.

I love a good friends-to-lovers story, and this one will definitely be a re-reader!
