"Do you get what you deserve?"
Under his hands or on the back of his bike--the freedom I feel with Noah is an illusion.
"No, baby. You get what you take and you keep what you can hold."
He ties me to him with fear and obligation and lust. Binds us tighter with his twisted sense of honor. I just hope his chains are strong enough to keep me safe.
BREAK ME IN is Part 2 of 5. The wildly erotic journey continues July 1st with DRIVE ME WILD.
These are short, hot reads, sure to leave you panting for more.

When a big scary biker shows up at Jimmy's Diner fifteen minutes before the end of my shift, covered in tattoos and looking at me like I'm on the menu, I should flip the open sign to closed. But I don't, because I'm too used to doing what I've been told. Too used to working and struggling and surviving to do anything different. A closed sign wouldn't stop him anyway. He's here to collect a debt. And I'm the only one left to pay.
about Shari || Shari Slade is a snarky optimist. A would-be academic with big dreams and very little means. When she isn’t toiling away in the non-profit sector, she’s writing gritty stories about identity and people who make terrible choices in the name of love (or lust). Somehow, it all works out in the end. If she had a patronus it would be a platypus.

We start this part right where we left off -- with Star getting on the back of Noah's bike as he's taking her away from the destruction of her current life. In this volume in the series, we see Star getting to be more comfortable with the choice she made in RIDE ME HARD, but we also see that Noah has a possessive side.
...I mean, yeah, sure, we got that in RIDE ME HARD, but it is extremely evident in BREAK ME IN. I liked that he sets Stone straight right away. He was sure to set Star straight on love versus what they will be doing, too, but just hours later, in BREAK ME IN? I think someone was getting feelings...
Noah's possessive side has a bit of a protective streak, and while he's forced, more or less, to do things to Star he'd rather not, the truth of everything is in his eyes.
I remember the way he cupped my hand outside and gritted his teeth at the sight of my scratch. Nobody hurts what's mine. Not even you.
Not even him. I can see that in the set of his jaw and the way he still won't look at me.
Like I said... for someone who just earlier was adamant about no feelings... he's getting feelings. Sure, he'll chalk it up to ownership and whatnot, but there's more lurking there. He puts on a very strong front, he has his assholish ways... but under it all, Noah can be a very likable man.
The more of these little glimpses we see, the more I want to know who, exactly, Noah is. I'm itching for the other parts of this serial and am finding myself to be a tad impatient.
...especially with this one's ending.
We'll get out of here alive, but we won't be the same. I'll be whole,
and Noah will be irrevocably broken.
He's not my self-destruct button. I'm his.
