Like I said before -- this just gets better and better! I love that Alexandra is becoming a little more comfortable in her skin. She's finding her voice and I absolutely love her in those moments. She's learning to stand up for herself -- proving to Branford that when he's in his volatile moods, he doesn't scare her... Much.
She still has quirks to get over, but I think her caring nature is something that won't ever be resolved, and quite frankly, shouldn't be. Additionally, I love that the author makes it a point to say that Alexandra is working on the head held high, that she's "one of them" now, aspects of her new life -- it's only been a matter of days/weeks between the first and this book; this is a gradual change and I feel that the author is taking it in a correct manner, at a correct pace.
Branford... Oh, how I love this man more and more. He has a temper, something that has come out more and more as he's learned to be more comfortable with Alexandra, but it's his shy looks like that really make him a desirable man.
This, my friends, is not a trilogy serial. We have more coming -- and Alexandra may have stumbled upon something that will make her wish she listened to her husband a bit more carefully.
