{ review } .
The ending of Everly and August has finally arrived.
When we left off, Everly had chosen Ryan. August since has been regaining his memory and with it, the horrors of that last night. Ryan is solid and dependable, and while I still think he's a great guy, I hate the push-pull he has gotten from page one (no worries, we Ryan fans will be happy...).
Now August needs to show Everly that he's always been protecting her... or else he's going to lose the love of his life for good.
August and Everly's emotional drama had it's ups and downs; part of me felt that the book could have been completed in a shorter frame-work because at times said drama felt to be too much, but as a whole, it helped to showcase just the type of ups and downs these two have to battle in order to get to their happily ever after -- and if they have survived all of that, there's no reason why they couldn't survive more. August's protective nature where Everly is concerned is definitely the key driver keeping these two apart -- and I wanted to shake him and tell him she was safer with him than away... but he had to learn that part on his own.
This was a solid conclusion to their story. Again, it felt long at points and I would have been happier if everything was in one book, and therefore a little shorter, but it all worked out.
