The end of Montagano's BREATHLESS series was everything I wanted and more. The emotion was heavier in this final book, and it takes some angst and questioning for Lia and Alistair to finally get to their ending.
Alistair's true colors show, but they made him more human. His past, his exes, they're the ones that make the conclusion of this story go out with a bang (where Nathan was the driving factor previously).
Lia has her strong moments. She doesn't always fight hard, but she does time and again for Alistair, and those were welcome scenes.
Questions are finally answered in this ending, and Lia's naivety is consistent in this final book. Honestly, Montagano's ability to keep her characterizations and style consistent throughout the series shows that while this may be a debut, she has the ability to write and write well.
Altogether, a solid effort by new author, Lynn Montagano.
