This new addition of Jade Sinner to the erotica world has been a bit... back and forth for this reader. I'm all about the fantasy and I like a well written erotica from time to time. But there's erotica, and then there's erotica -- straight out of a porn video. If it's written well, I don't care -- I can get lost in the fantasy of it all and be just fine.
I really liked Cherry Popper, and was surprised at how much I liked it due to the fact I wasn't 100% ecstatic about Duncan prior. When I read this synopsis, I knew it was going to play on the fantasy side of the erotica world. For me personally, I didn't feel the emotional connection between Lacey and Max. It was just an almost thirty year old man who wanted his nineteen year old not-really-niece. Don't get me wrong, the sexual thoughts and the acts, as well, were extremely well written -- there just wasn't any sort of connect for me. That and it drives me freaking batty when people do the whole "daddy" thing, and Lacey calling Max 'Uncle' well after their new relationship is established... Just annoyed me.
But that's me.
